COACHING

GIANCARLO VIANO

Transform your life and your career

(RE)ALIGN WITH WHO YOU TRULY ARE
MOVE FROM YOUR CURRENT REALITY
TO THE ONE YOU KNOW IS POSSIBLE

This is coaching.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a decision: the decision to invest in yourself.

It is a space where you can pause, gain clarity, reset your direction, and reconnect with what truly matters to you. A space where you can speak honestly about what you want, without judgment, without external pressure, and without pretending to already have all the answers.

Coaching helps you turn:

  • vague desires into clear goals
  • inner blocks into opportunities for growth
  • confusion into clarity, direction, and action
  • ideas into real and meaningful projects

The official definition: what the ICF says l’International Coaching Federation (ICF)

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as a partnership with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

It is a confidential, client-centered relationship designed to unlock deeper levels of awareness, imagination, productivity, and leadership.

In practical terms, this means:

  • Partnership — coaching is collaborative, not prescriptive
  • Thought-provoking — it helps you see more clearly and think more deeply
  • Growth-oriented — it supports both personal and professional development
  • Client-led — the work starts from your agenda, not the coach’s

The ICF approach is grounded in ethics, structure, and clearly defined professional competencies.

What Coaching is not

Coaching is not about being told what to do.

It is not advice, ready-made answers, or generic motivation.

What I do as a Coach

I work with you, not instead of you.

My role is to help you:

  • ask better questions
  • gain clarity on what you truly want
  • identify the real obstacles standing in your way
  • turn insight into concrete action
  • stay accountable to the commitments you make to yourself
  • move forward with greater awareness, coherence, and purpose

What I do not do

  • I do not tell you how to live your life
  • I do not provide psychotherapy or mental health treatment
  • I do not offer rigid formulas or one-size-fits-all solutions

At times I may share perspectives drawn from over 25 years of work exploring mind, body, change, and personal growth — but coaching remains a space centered on you, your process, and your own answers.

Why Coaching works

Coaching is not “just motivation. It is a structured process based on awareness, commitment, and action.

Its effectiveness is supported by several well-established principles:

Neuroplasticity

Your brain can change throughout life. New thoughts, behaviors, and habits can create new neural pathways and support meaningful change over time.

Beliefs

What you believe about yourself shapes how you think, how you act, and what you allow yourself to pursue. When beliefs change, possibilities expand.

Accountability

People are more likely to follow through when they are supported, challenged, and held accountable in a committed professional relationship.

Ontological Coaching

True change is not only about what you do. It is also about who you are being. When identity, language, beliefs, and internal posture begin to shift, actions and results begin to shift as well.

Life Coaching or Executive Coaching?

A common question is:
Do I need Life Coaching or Executive Coaching?

The answer depends on where you feel the tension, the block, or the desire for growth.

Life Coaching:

When the focus is your life
Life Coaching focuses on you as a person — your relationships, wellbeing, inner balance, decisions, transitions, values, and sense of purpose.

Life Coaching may be right for you if you:

feel stuck in your personal life

are going through a transition

want more clarity about what you truly want

need to make important personal decisions

feel out of balance

want to improve your relationships

want to live with more authenticity and direction

We may work on:

clarity around values and goals

limiting beliefs and inner resistance

life transitions and decision-making

balance across different areas of life

more authentic relationships

personal growth and deeper alignment

Executive Coaching:
When the focus is your work, leadership, and professional growth

L’executive Coaching si concentra su te come professionista: la tua carriera, la tua leadership, le tue performance lavorative, la gestione di team e progetti, il tuo sviluppo manageriale.

What is Leadership?

Leadership is not just position, status, or authority.

It is the capacity to become a trusted point of reference when things are unclear, pressure is high, and real decisions need to be made.

At its core, leadership is about being, not only doing. That is why leadership development is, in many ways, ontological work.

And leadership does not only belong to the workplace.

Executive Coaching may be right for you if you:

are navigating a career transition

are a leader, manager, or entrepreneur under pressure

want to lead with more clarity and authenticity

need to manage teams, complexity, or strategic decisions

want to strengthen communication, presence, and influence

are looking for better integration between professional ambition and personal life

We may work on:

authentic leadership

communication and influence

team management and delegation

decision-making in complex environments

performance under pressure

career direction and development

emotional intelligence in professional contexts

work-life integration

Work-life integration (non solo balance)

What if the challenge is both personal and professional?

Very often, it is.

Personal life and professional life are deeply interconnected. Tension in one area tends to affect the other.

A stressed leader brings tension home.
A person struggling privately rarely performs at their best professionally.
A lack of meaning in life often shows up as lack of energy, clarity, or direction at work.

That is why my approach is always holistic and personalized.

We can:

  1. start from the area that feels most urgent
  2. integrate both personal and professional work
  3. adapt the process as clarity emerges

There are no rigid formulas — only work tailored to the person in front of me.

My approach to Coaching

My coaching approach is shaped by over 25 years of exploration into mind, body, personal growth, and change — and by 15 years since my first formal coaching training.

Today, my work integrates different perspectives to support deeper, more sustainable transformation.

Ontological Coaching

We work not only on goals and actions, but on beliefs, language, and way of being. Lasting change begins there.

The 3 Brains Model

We explore the intelligence of Head, Heart, and Gut, and how greater alignment between them can create clearer decisions and more effective action.

Mind-Body Integration

Change does not happen only through thought. We also work through breathing, physical presence, awareness, and the body’s role in coherence and performance.

NEF™© (Neuro Emotional Facilitation)

When deeper resistance emerges and cannot be shifted by insight or willpower alone, I may integrate NEF™©, my proprietary method based neuro-emotional work on empowering beliefs.

Emotional Awareness

Emotions are not the enemy, they are information. Learning to recognize and work with them more intelligently is part of creating real change.

Practical Tools

Coaching must translate into action. Each session is designed to generate practical movement, not just reflection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does coaching really work?

Yes — if you are willing to engage with the process.

Coaching is not magic, and I am not here to fix your life for you. Real change happens when you are ready to reflect, take action, and stay committed.

My role is to provide structure, support, and the right questions. Your role is to do the work.

Can I do coaching if I am already in therapy?

Yes, absolutely.

Coaching and therapy can work well alongside each other, and in many cases they complement one another.

If you are currently in therapy, it is a good idea to speak with your therapist first so everything can be aligned appropriately.

Why work with you as a coach?

Because my approach is both deep and practical.

I bring over 25 years of study and experience exploring the relationship between mind, body, and personal growth. My work integrates ontological coaching, neuroscience-informed perspectives, emotional awareness, and NEF™©.

I am direct, empathetic, and committed to authentic work. And if I believe I am not the right coach for you, I will tell you honestly.

How much does coaching cost?

We can discuss that during the free introductory call.

The investment depends on the type of process, the depth of the work, and the format that best suits your needs.

Coaching is not simply a cost. It is an investment in change, clarity, and direction.

Why Is Self-Esteem So Crucial?

Why Is Self-Esteem So Crucial?

Self-esteem is the way a person evaluates themselves, influencing emotional wellbeing, relationships and the ability to face life’s challenges.

It plays a crucial role in situations such as job interviews, romantic relationships and important decisions, where low self-esteem can lead to unfavorable choices or passive behaviors.

Unlike narcissism, healthy self-esteem is based on a realistic evaluation of oneself and is built on self-evaluation, self-efficacy, self-respect and self-love.

Working on self-esteem, through approaches such as **Neuro Emotional Facilitation™** or daily reflective practices, can support resilience, healthier relationships and personal fulfillment.
